It’s believed that we Stop✋️breathing properly at the age of Six Years Old

Breathing Better so that you can Be more present is literally my mission for the rest of 2025.

The power of breathing properly is still so undercover 🥸 it's zapped out of us around the age of 6 when we sit a desk for a good chunk of the day. The bad habits start to creep in. We become still and sit for long periods of time, not realising our lungs are compromised, they don't have their full breathing capacity.

When we don't breathe properly, oxygen doesn't flow to vital organs in the way that it should, and that should be obvious to us, but we've forgotten it all... swept up in Netflix and comfy sofas 🛋

We've forgotten what it was like to stand tall and head held high... It has taken me 4 years since reading James Nestor book Breath to really gain full control of my diaphragm and stop my shoulders heading up past my ears 👂 but now you cannot stop me from focusing in on my lower ribs to breathe better.

I love mouth taping, nasal dilators and exhale breath holds.

I love to see how our clients at @mederiwellness leave feeling calm and relaxed after arriving feeling so tense. I love it when breathing becomes their main focus as the stress creeps in and I love even more that they are tolerant in situations that might have previously sent them over the edge.

I've created a Stan store so that all of this love and knowledge can go into one location and if you aren’t able to see me in person you can get access to some of my favourite breathing exercises. There is a free breathing self assessment on there and that will give you some idea of how to focus in on how you breathe and what to look out for.

I’ve also created a step by step guide for parents to help children breathe functionally. Can be found here https://stan.store/Breathebetterbe/p/get-my-step-by-step-childrens-breathing-guide-now

There's more to upload but let's get breathing properly cos life out there is a little challenging right now and we need to be in the best condition to tolerate it but also really enjoy it!!

Lots of love Hannah

xx
